This page is an explanation of how to order prints from my smugmug gallery. In addition, there is also a smugmug help page on buying prints here. The link at the bottom to email a real person will get you a response within a few minutes most of the time.

To order prints or digital downloads, click on the buy this photo button. It will take you to the first of three screens that ends up at the pay screen. The first screen is where you select what size and finish you want the print to be. This screen will tell you if cropping is required or not. Most of my images will fit several of the standard sizes, but some will not fit any without cropping. Unfortunately, the only cropping you can do at this point is to trim away part of the image to make it fit one of the standard print sizes -- in this case, you may want to email me and I will create a version with extra white or black border to make it fit. Or you can specify how you want it trimmed on the next screen by clicking on the adjust button.

The printing is done at a high quality lab in Georgia. If you are not pleased with a delivered print, let me know and I will refund the money or get you another print. There are also t-shirts, mugs and other items you can print on.

The digital downloads come in two flavors, personal and commercial. Basically, if you want to use the image on a website that is geared toward income, you need the commercial license. If you just want to use it on a non-commercial site, or if you want to download the image to make prints for yourself, use the personal license.

You can also link to these photos to include them in things like a blog. When you have a medium or large view of the photo open you will see a link for "forums and blogs" near the bottom right, under the photo. Click on that and follow the instructions. Note that this is a way of getting around my "do not download" message for casual browsers. Once you have the link, you can download using that. Please note that while this might be considered "stealing", I've decided that it is more like advertising as long as you give me credit for the photo image on the web (unless my copyright notice is visible). If you make a print from a medium or large view, the quality will be so poor, I'd almost rather you didn't give me credit.

Ordering prints from my deviantart gallery, Deviant Art Print store, is much simpler, simply click on the print button and select the size and follow the instructons. However, the sizes and selection of products are much more restricted. Also, the images may not be "office safe."
